Your gateway to recovery in the Ojai Valley

OVAC Mission

Our mission is to serve as a gateway to recovery, providing a clean, safe and secure meeting place, a cohesive social network, and a reliable information source for the 12 Step Recovery Community in the Ojai Valley.

Make a Donation

The Ojai Valley Alano Club is a nonprofit organization founded in 1980 by a group of people in recovery who felt the need for a permanent place here in the Ojai Valley for meetings and fellowship. The Ojai Valley Alano Club is a Section 501(c) (3) charitable organization, EIN 95-3667506. All donations are deemed tax-deductible absent any limitations on deductibility applicable to a particular taxpayer. No goods or services were provided in exchange for your contribution.

About the Ojai Valley Alano Club

Over the years, the Alano Club has made its facility available for various 12-Step recovery groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous, Al-Anon, Alateen, Narcotics Anonymous, Nicotine Anonymous, and Overeaters Anonymous. All 12-Step recovery groups are welcome. The Club is active in promoting the fellowship of those in recovery. We believe in enjoying being “clean and sober.” As the AA Big Book says, “We are not a glum lot; we absolutely insist on enjoying life.” The Club regularly organizes social activities. We host dinners, BBQ picnics, dances, plays, talent and variety shows, music, and other types of entertainment.
